Happy Halloween

Finally, the man found him. They were at a party, and it was getting dark. The man told the young boy,
"Come on, I'm going to show you something." The boy followed him into the woods that formed the back of the property. After a while, he shivered. The sun was completely down now, and it was dark, and cold.
"I'm getting scared," the young boy confessed to the man. The man replied,
"You're scared? How do you think I feel? I have to come back alone!"

Apologies and Expectations

Hello, my dear readers.

I am a very terrible person.
Aren't I?
I should have posted something a long time ago, SO before you read this, read my other post for today, Running from the Sunrise.
And yes, I know, I have posted, but not anything witty or original or that I made...just links.
And that What does the Fox say nonsense.
So without further ado, I commend you to come back tomorrow sometime after 10:30 to read a special Halloween Update! Yay!
I shall be posting the creepiest Halloween story I've heard this year. It's pretty creepy. And short.
So don't forget!

What does the Fox say?

If you have read my book before I removed it from the website, then this is for you.
(And I would never actually put this part in my book.)
***
After a bit of searching, Derain found Crevan in Triss's room, sculpting a statue of a bird. Derain sat down across from him, then asked,
"So. They call you Crevan the Fox, right?" Crev looked up, his eyes sparkling.
"Yes, they do. What do they call you?" Ignoring his question, Derain asked,
"What noise does the fox make? I know wolves and bobcats and all those other animals have their own calls, but what does the fox use to communicate?" Crev stared at Derain, his eyes bright, a smile creeping onto his face. Finally, after a long pause, Crevan shook his head and went back to his sculpting.
"It barks." Derain felt disappointed.
"Aronis said you would have a very interesting answer to that question." Crevan smiled again.
"Well, it looks like he was wrong, doesn't it?"

Owl City

My poor, abused readers.
I hear the angry shouts now: where are the abstract shorts? Why aren't you posting them? When are you going to get back to scheduled updates?
Well, guess what, readers?
LINK! http://www.ayoungblog.com/
I'm sure some of you wondered...Why do I write things like I do?
The link above is the answer.
Adam Young is the maker of Owl City, a very good band to listen to. I love his music, and then one day, I visited his blog. While reading his posts, I thought, I can write like that. And lo and behold! Disjointed, distracted, ADHD, and introverted writing poured out of me! Wow!
SO...If you want some new stuff to read, go to the link above!
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you very much....

Last of Five

Dear, dear readers.
Oh, no.
If you have been attentively watching what's been happening, you will have noticed that the book Last of Five is no longer available here! Oh no!
As it turns out, I have been writing. (No, really?) I have been writing and revising and changing that book so much, I decided that it was too much trouble to post it here. Unfortunately, I believe that you will only be able to read it when it is published, and it will take a long time for that to happen. I haven't even submitted anything to a publisher. Oh dear. BUT I have joined...National Novel Writing Month! Yay!
NaNoWriMo is in November, and you are supposed to write 50,000 words or more to win. I have no idea what will be won, but I am confidently expecting to win it.
Hopefully, you will understand the necessity of me removing the book: it would be too easy for someone to take it and change it and make it their own and publish it. However, this does remind me of a saying a wise person once told me: if you like something on the Internet, download and save it.
Farewell, readers.
Live fully and prosper.
Or whatever that saying is.

Baptized

Readers!
Yay!
So, I know everyone is all excited about Taylor Swift, (I am too, don't get me wrong) but something happened and I must tell you about it!
DAUGHTRY! Yay!
Did I ever tell you what my favorite band is? No? Well, it's DAUGHTRY! Yay!
After their wonderful album Break the Spell in 2011, I waited. It came out about the same time as Taylor Swift's Speak Now and Owl City's All Things Bright and Beautiful. Needless to say, Red happened. And then The Midsummer Station was born. While these wonderful albums came out, on Daughtry Official, Break the Spell was still the 'new release!'
Oh dear!
I was vastly disappointed, and so to show my anger, I stopped checking up on them.
Oh horror!
And now! Now there is a new single out, and an album pending, and I only got the single three days after it was released! Dear readers, I was horrified!
BUT! Oh, wonderful luck, I fell in love with Waiting for Superman, and have forgiven Chris Daughtry everything, (I highly doubt he is aware of my existence) AND his new album, Baptized, is coming out in November! November 19! Yay! I am breathlessly waiting for this new marvel to come out, (and I am duly expected to suffocate sometime before Halloween) and I felt the need to share this with you! And by the way, if I knew how, I would have this song playing in the background now.
Yay!
Anyway, please read my other post, Lightly, and understand that wow, I am a terribly distracted person.

Lightly

Lightly, gently, touch me, see that I am real. Because we all are, in our own way, or at least that’s what I believe. Fonts that are too big, too small, these things make me feel large and perfect. A kind, unpretentious act should bring me to tears, but that depends on the person who does it. Freedom isn’t grand and gigantic; it’s soft and small, almost imperceptible. It’s not doing what you want, it’s following the rules, and dreaming of flying. Up in the sky, there is a place where everyone can fly, and they love each other, and they never give up. They are ancient, and fresh, and young. They sing, and play, and just watch. One day, I hope you go there, to that place, and realize that flying isn’t that hard, after all: it’s just the idea that confuses people. Everyone’s scared, but everyone believes, too. We have a fire, each of us, and we must find it out. I found it, and gave it to the world; you’re reading it. People call it a “power,” but it’s really a fire, for it lights us up, it warms us and comforts us through the dark night. Some sing, some write, some fly, some merely live in joy. Because the dark isn’t evil; just the things that hide in it. And you will never know, but just continue, and smile, and listen. Listening is the best thing you can do, if you listen and understand. To understand, you must not have an opinion, or judge. “Why does she do that?” if you have no opinion, if you do not judge what she is doing, you will understand. You will comprehend what it is, and the reason behind it. And that’s how to describe light and darkness to a blind person: Darkness is like ignorance: it hides things, while light is like knowledge and wisdom: it exposes the truth.
